Time to learn...

I have a beautiful acoustic guitar that I've had for oh my gosh, about three years now, and I am finally going to take some lessons to learn to play it. I have a couple of books but they've not really provided much guidance so I'm seeking outside assistance. I've contacted the local music store (yep, there's one in Wharton) about taking lessons. Hopefully there will be an opening with one of their two teachers. Fifteen bucks per half hour doesn't sound too bad. I mainly want to learn the basics then I think I can take it from there.
